Amador Alonso struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Justino Llope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hurlingham. When Amador Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Hurlingham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amador Alonso couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Alonso in the 34th minute of play forced Berreta's goalkeeper Justino Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Berreta's Emiliano Salomon threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Blas Santos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cecilio Lizer hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Amador Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hurlingham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Hurlingham's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Santos came free, but Emiliano Salomon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Justino Llope was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Emanuel Diagur. 68 minutes into the game, Berreta's Rafael Lauren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emiliano Salomon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Desiderio Mancio fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berreta's protests and gave Desiderio Mancio a yellow card for diving instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hurlingham had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
