Óscar Cordoba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Abella, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Higinio Madaleno fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Niceto Franco hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Marcelo Arnas put in a rough tackle. 27 minutes into the match, Tosno AFC's Higinio Madaleno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Telmo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tosno AFC's Gabriel-Omar Batistuta got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel-Omar Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Telmo having to interfere. Higinio Madaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arturo Telmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tosno AFC's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Abella in the 36th minute of play. Arturo Telmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Madaleno in the 38th minute of play. Higinio Madaleno hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niceto Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Elpidio Lluis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elpidio Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Tosno AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Telaritos were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Higinio Madaleno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Gabriel-Omar Batistuta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Elpidio Lluis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Atilano Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Cordoba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Franco might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Óscar Cordoba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niceto Franco ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th match minute, Tosno AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Alves to maneuver through the defense. Elpidio Lluis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Telaritos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 82 minutes into the match, Telaritos's goal looked a bit too open when Higinio Madaleno came free, but Arturo Telmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Alves during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
