Ipisca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Punua the free kick. Victorino Tuste kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Punua booed when Ipisca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Tuste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipisca's Manuel Haimar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Ipisca from getting a goal against them. Manuel Haimar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Ulizes in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Zeledon Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeledon Ulizes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Punua's Zeledon Ulizes in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ipisca's goalie prevented a goal. The Manuel Haimar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ismael Incendio's late challenge caught a Ipisca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ismael Incendio helped the player get up and apologised. Ismael Incendio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Adolfo Ignatius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Haimar having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Rogelio Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipisca's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Orlanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Ignado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rogelio Orlanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rogelio Orlanda was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Manuel Haimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Zeledon Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Ignado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogelio Orlanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Ciriaco Etxatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Ubaldo Ignado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Matias Firman fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipisca's protests and gave Matias Firman a yellow card for diving instead. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ipisca! Romulo Firman walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Adolfo Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Ignado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciriaco Etxatxu went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Zeledon Ulizes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Haimar having to make a save. Ubaldo Ignado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciriaco Etxatxu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 92 minute of play.
