Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Angelino Roland started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnaldo Hermelando during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, El Joro's Arnaldo Hermelando got a free kick in the 6th minute. Baldomiro Colon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnaldo Hermelando went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When El Joro's Silvano Montrelle in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ampallo's goalie prevented a goal. Baldomiro Colon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Montrelle in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Roland in the 20th minute of play forced El Joro's goalkeeper Pitin Fresnedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Ampallo's Camilo Dorio made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pitin Fresnedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Angelino Roland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pitin Fresnedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After having played for 35 minutes, Angelino Roland managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ampallo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Angelino Roland was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, El Joro's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Roland came free, but Pitin Fresnedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arnaldo Hermelando made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Silvestre Orzaize made a precise shot to the right of Pitin Fresnedo. El Joro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Pitin Fresnedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Dorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Camilo Dorio might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pitin Fresnedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Dorio ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the El Joro defense, Angelino Roland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pitin Fresnedo. The El Joro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pitin Fresnedo should have stopped the shot. Arnaldo Hermelando struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Baldomiro Colon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Joro. Pitin Fresnedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camilo Dorio in the 82nd minute of the match. If Silvano Montrelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Lixandro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camilo Dorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ampallo had won after a very even match.
