If Silvano Fagondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejo Gartzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Victorio Ekain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pastor Lluciano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Danilo Gelacio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Villanueba F.C's Alejo Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Valerio in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes of play, Villanueba F.C's Silvano Fagondo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pastor Lluciano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute Robustiano Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Gartzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejo Gartzi came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Basavilbaso AFC's Nemesio Bilbo. But to his dismay, Nemesio Bilbo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Silvano Fagondo scored 3-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pastor Lluciano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nemesio Bilbo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The supporters of Villanueba F.C booed when Basavilbaso AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvestre Cefero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hector Valerio made the kick off in the second half. Alejo Gartzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robustiano Marques in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Villanueba F.C's zone, Nicasio Silvino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alejo Gartzi came out of the goal and Nicasio Silvino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorio Ekain might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Lluciano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorio Ekain ran back to his position shaking his head. Silvano Fagondo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Basavilbaso AFC's Pastor Lluciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Ekain in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Basavilbaso AFC booed when Villanueba F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Montel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robustiano Marques got free with Alejo Gartzi in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute of the match Bruno Fernandes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alejo Gartzi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Basavilbaso AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villanueba F.C.
