Cornelio Tomi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Lechuza's zone, Aristides Bernebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornelio Tomi came out of the goal and Aristides Bernebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Salvator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Tomi having to interfere. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lechuza's goalkeeper Cornelio Tomi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 12 minutes, Federico Bittor made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. LA BANDA's Victor Gorri tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Lechuza getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Joel Hermelando hit a great ball. C.A. LA BANDA's Victor Gorri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Bittor in the 28th minute of play. Victor Gorri came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Lechuza's Edelmiro Arce. But to his dismay, Edelmiro Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The supporters of Lechuza booed when C.A. LA BANDA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Tino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Gorri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Bittor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edelmiro Arce in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Gorri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Lechuza getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ermegildo Iratze hit a great ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Edelmiro Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lechuza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After some careless play in the C.A. LA BANDA defense, Federico Bittor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Gorri. The C.A. LA BANDA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Gorri should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Federico Bittor could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Victor Gorri however easily saved by the left post. In the 65th match minute, C.A. LA BANDA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Galsino to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, one of C.A. LA BANDA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Edelmiro Arce put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Victor Gorri. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Arce in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Gorri saved C.A. LA BANDA from getting behind. 82 minutes into the game, Lechuza's Federico Bittor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victor Gorri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Federico Bittor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
