After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Hugo Oriol managed to get in a good position for a shot. IRU FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Oriol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Sugoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, Tobias Reynardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sargento Cabral FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IRU FC the free kick. A collision led to Sargento Cabral FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Tobias Reynardo hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Miguel Ur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Sugoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, IRU FC's goalkeeper Marcelo Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Beliran. 40 minutes into the game, Hugo Oriol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IRU FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sargento Cabral FC the free kick. In the 40th match minute, IRU FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Oriol to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Inocente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timoteo Valente hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jimeno Inocente to strike the kick off in the second half. Aristides Dantel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Danilo Sugoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 60th minute Diego Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Dantel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Sugoi having to interfere. When Sergio Bautista fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sargento Cabral FC's protests and gave Sergio Bautista a yellow card for diving instead. If Aristides Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Sugoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Ur in the 75th minute of the match. Diego Beliran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marcelo Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Beliran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Neto having to interfere. Jimeno Inocente got in the 89th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Marcelo Neto handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Aristides Dantel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Neto came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Sargento Cabral FC's Diego Beliran. But to his dismay, Diego Beliran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sargento Cabral FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while IRU FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
