In the 28th minute, Florencio Florin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 37th minute, Ildefonso Moise fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Angelo Pueblo, passed just outside the right post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Moise couldn't finish the play. If Cleto Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
