Spectators: 7176 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ruben Silbestre got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Leonides Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Gitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franklin FC's Benedicto Gitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Birila in the 8th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Leonides Birila dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benedicto Gitano, 1-0. After some careless play in the Firestarter FC defense, Marcial Boni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nunez Lizardi. The Firestarter FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nunez Lizardi should have stopped the shot. Luis Sugoi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Firestarter FC's Anibal Abeita tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Anier Pelayo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Rodrigo Roderigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Nunez Lizardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franklin FC's Ruben Silbestre in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Firestarter FC's goalie prevented a goal. Benedicto Gitano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Birila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Birila in the 44th minute of play forced Franklin FC's goalkeeper Benedicto Gitano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonides Birila was the one to do the kick off. Higinio Cebo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Aquilino Tomi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Gitano having to interfere. After having played for 55 minutes, Leonides Birila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Firestarter FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Birila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ruben Silbestre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nunez Lizardi having to interfere. When Lázaro Guter fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Firestarter FC's protests and gave Lázaro Guter a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Lázaro Guter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Ruben Silbestre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ruben Silbestre came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Franklin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruben Silbestre couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, Franklin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Silbestre to maneuver through the defense. Franklin FC's Ruben Silbestre got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nunez Lizardi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Roderigo in the 77th minute. Aquilino Tomi scored 2-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedicto Gitano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruben Silbestre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Franklin FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Franklin FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
