After 16 minutes, Abelardo Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo León and the En Restructuracion players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of En Restructuracion booed when Deportivo León was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes of play, En Restructuracion's Jacobo Roldan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramon Rik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipe Darien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Errando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jacobo Roldan managed to get in a good position for a shot. En Restructuracion's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacobo Roldan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramon Rik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 40 minutes in the game, Julio Txanton fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adrian Errando having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Damian Enaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo León and the En Restructuracion players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, one of Deportivo León:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Deportivo León. In the 50th minute there was a penalty for En Restructuracion. Eduardo Mergildo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ramon Rik. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teofilo Fagildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Deportivo León's Ramon Rik got control of the ball when Jacobo Roldan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ramon Rik made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Jacobo Roldan sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Roldan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ramon Rik made a huge save. Adrian Errando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo León. If Enzo Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. En Restructuracion's Jacobo Roldan got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Fagildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Rik having to interfere. In the 100th minute, Jacobo Roldan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
