The referee ignored Matadores's protests and gave Alonzo Breogan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Matadores getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Alonzo Breogan hit a great ball. Teobaldo Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Oliviero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Beltran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Pagomari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Rogelio Beltran put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Iker Pagomari. 22 minutes into the game, RACING FC's Ruperto Martino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Pagomari made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haroldo Oliviero in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Shantala saved RACING FC from getting behind. A collision led to RACING FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Edelmiro Iratze hit a great ball. Teobaldo Shantala was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Samuel Frantzes. 33 minutes into the match, RACING FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Oliviero came free, but Teobaldo Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobaldo Shantala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benigno Maore in the 41st minute of play. Iker Pagomari took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogelio Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of RACING FC booed when Matadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Haroldo Oliviero made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, RACING FC's Damian Santikurtz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iker Pagomari narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alonzo Breogan hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ruperto Martinos short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Iker Pagomari to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 56 played minutes Matadores got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Breogan. Teobaldo Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Oliviero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Shantala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Oliviero, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Patricio Viator fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RACING FC's protests and gave Patricio Viator a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, RACING FC's Patricio Viator got a free kick in the 65th minute. Severo Valerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Teobaldo Shantala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RACING FC's Rogelio Beltran got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruperto Martino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Iker Pagomari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iker Pagomari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Calisto in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Rogelio Beltran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Severo Valerio came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Matadores fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Valerio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Ruperto Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RACING FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Martino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
