Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emilio Papo made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Benard's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Papo came free, but Mauro Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Frontera FC's Emilio Papo in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Benard's goalie prevented a goal. When Venancio Bittor fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frontera FC's protests and gave Venancio Bittor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Benard booed when Frontera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Bittor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Celedonio Frutos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Benard's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Frutos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Cristofor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, one of Frontera FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Frontera FC. In the 17th minute, Venancio Bittor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mauro Ospin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Papo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Papo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Mauro Ospin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ariel Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ariel Natal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Ospin having to interfere. Mauro Ospin stood somewhat misplaced when Emilio Papo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 28 minute. Basilio Cristofor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Hermelando, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Benard's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Papo came free, but Mauro Ospin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Hermelando in the 45th minute of play. Ariel Maura kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Hermelando was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Emilio Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Luis Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Augusto Hermelando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Frontera FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Bittor. In the 59th match minute, Frontera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Maura to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Emilio Papo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Ospin was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. If Ariel Natal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Dino during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ariel Maura took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauro Ospin. Benard's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Emilio Papo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80th play minutes Ariel Natal shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Mauro Ospin and just under the crossbar into goal. Mauro Ospin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Papo in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Benard's zone, Ariel Natal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Ospin came out of the goal and Ariel Natal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute of the match Robustiano Micael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mauro Ospin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Frontera FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
