Basilio Cristofor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Otoniel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 28 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ermanno Piacentini during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Background FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Frontera FC were winning 2-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Incantalupi was the one to do the kick off. When Emilio Papo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Frontera FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Papo couldn't finish the play. Horacio Cutberto didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. Basilio Cristofor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Incantalupi in the 56th minute of play. Iordache Melentie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th match minute, Frontera FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Venancio Bittor to maneuver through the defense. Basilio Cristofor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Incantalupi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Incantalupi in the 63rd minute of the match. Emilio Papo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armin Ursini hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The long shot by Robustiano Micael in the 68th minute really tested Horacio Cutberto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Background FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Papo came free, but Horacio Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horacio Cutberto came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Frontera FC's Emilio Papo. But to his dismay, Emilio Papo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. In the 75th minute Emilio Papo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Background FC's Horacio Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Background FC from getting a goal against them. Ariel Natal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ariel Natal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Horacio Cutberto made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Emilio Incantalupi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilio Cristofor was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Emilio Papo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Cutberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Background FC's Emilio Incantalupi got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 played minutes Frontera FC got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Bittor. Background FC's Horacio Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Background FC from getting a goal against them. Although Background FC had been in control for most of the match, Frontera FC still came away with the win.
