Spectators: 7235 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 40) Volta's Sebastian Handi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Volta's Salvador Flores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Volta from getting a goal against them. With his leg Salvador Flores managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Background FC's Emilio Incantalupi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 7 played minutes Background FC got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Melentie. 11 minutes into the game, Background FC's Emilio Incantalupi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Salvador Flores made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ruben Otoniel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Flores having to make a save. Background FC's Emilio Incantalupi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Iordache Melentie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Salvador Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Incantalupi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Salvador Flores having to make a save. Gabriel Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Cutberto having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Sebastian Handi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Volta booed when Background FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Aurre didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ruben Otoniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute, Ruben Otoniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Emilio Incantalupi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Incantalupi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Ruben Otoniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sebastian Handi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Volta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Handi couldn't finish the play. Iordache Melentie hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gabriel Matthew struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Horacio Cutberto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volta. In the 53rd minute, Sebastian Handi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Horacio Cutberto, passed just outside the right post. Sebastian Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Ruben Otoniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Flores having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Background FC's Emilio Incantalupi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 65th minute, Jacobo Pabla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Marco Aurre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Background FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Aurre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salvador Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 played minutes Volta got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Pabla. Sebastian Handi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 74th minute Ruben Otoniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Flores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 74 played minutes Volta got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Pabla. Salvador Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Otoniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Emilio Incantalupi notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Volta's Salvador Flores. Salvador Flores was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Virgilio Fagondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Handi in the 84th minute of play. Salvador Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Otoniel in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Emilio Incantalupi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilio Incantalupi in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salvador Flores saved Volta from getting behind. Ruben Otoniel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Flores having to interfere. Horacio Cutberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Handi in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Background FC fully deserved thier win.
