Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Patricio Marques started the match with the kick off. Patricio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Jerico having to interfere. When Patricio Marques in the 12th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Simon Jerico kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The supporters of Santos FC booed when Vipos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Odon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd match minute, Vipos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ariel Odon to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute Eduardo Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Arruabarrena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Arruabarrena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Emenon in the 24th minute of the match. Eduardo Emenon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Patricio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Jerico having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vipos's zone, Marcelino Frans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Arruabarrena came out of the goal and Marcelino Frans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute Tobias Gaxan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Jerico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Robustiano Atauri hit a great ball. Tobias Gaxan struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Simon Jerico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vipos. When Vicente Orlanda fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vipos's protests and gave Vicente Orlanda a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Simon Jerico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobias Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Jerico having to interfere. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Samuel Emenon hit a great ball. Patricio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Jerico having to interfere. Santos FC's Simon Jerico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Gaxan in the 81st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Tobias Gaxan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Simon Jerico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vipos's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
