An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Inge in the 63rd minute of play forced Piedraitas's goalkeeper Benito Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bolitas re Grosso's Elvio Rico got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes, Piedraitas's Alfonso Reno shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Hulberto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piedraitas reached it. 80 minutes into the match, Piedraitas's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Eutor came free, but Benito Ayala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Piedraitas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
