Zoesofi's Rene Bitxintxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Txanton in the 2nd minute of play. After 4 minutes Zoesofi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fausto Mino who took care of the corner kick. Malligasta's Romeo Fresco got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Malligasta's Romeo Fresco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Bitxintxo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rene Bitxintxo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeo Fresco's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute Nestor Txanton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Bitxintxo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Fresco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Zoesofi got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Gipuzkoa. Romeo Fresco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Bitxintxo having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeo Fresco in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rene Bitxintxo saved Zoesofi from getting behind. A collision led to Malligasta getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Eustaquio Azeari hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Rumaldo in the 43rd minute of play forced Malligasta's goalkeeper Mariano Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Malligasta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Maximo Gipuzkoa's late challenge caught a Malligasta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximo Gipuzkoa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Maximo Gipuzkoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Fresco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Rene Bitxintxo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Romeo Fresco came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Malligasta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Fresco couldn't finish the play. Romeo Fresco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Malligasta's Romeo Fresco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Ermegildo Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Txanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Bitxintxo having to interfere. Nestor Txanton struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Rene Bitxintxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malligasta. After having played for 93 minutes, Romeo Fresco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malligasta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Fresco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Malligasta could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zoesofi throughout the match.
