The supporters of Club A. Boca Juniors booed when Iraola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Serafino Micael in the 12th minute really tested Cornelio Botello's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dalmacio Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iraola's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmacio Romano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cornelio Botello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igor Erramun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Moises Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Reynaldo Stanislao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. Iraola's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cornelio Botello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Romano, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Santiago Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmacio Romano struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cornelio Botello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iraola. A collision led to Club A. Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Silvestre Frascuelo hit a great ball. Cornelio Botello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Romano in the 93rd minute of the match. Igor Erramun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
