Uriel Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victorino Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Moises Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ceferino Todor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Joachim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Higinio Aureo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Romano in the 26th minute of play forced Defensores de Alberdi's goalkeeper Higinio Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 minutes, Angel Bilbo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores de Alberdi and the Iraola players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Iraola booed when Defensores de Alberdi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Bilbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Paublo in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moises Urdin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the game, Abel Hegoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Moises Urdin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moises Urdin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorino Paublo's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After the first half Defensores de Alberdi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angel Bilbo was the one to do the kick off. Moises Urdin made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Victorino Paublo sent off a good shot on target. Angel Bilbo struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Moises Urdin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Alberdi. Victorino Paublo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Moises Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moises Urdin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Bilbo in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Defensores de Alberdi's Victorino Paublo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moises Urdin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ceferino Todor hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the game, one of Iraola:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dalmacio Romano kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Iraola's Moises Urdin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Iraola from getting a goal against them. Victorino Paublo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Froilan Larpe during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Iraola getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Froilan Larpe hit a great ball. Defensores de Alberdi played a much better game than Iraola and deserved their victory. The Iraola players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
