Maximo Lluis was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. C. A. 25 De Septiembre's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Ildefonso Tajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Balesio kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Versailles AFC booed when C. A. 25 De Septiembre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Urdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ildefonso Tajo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Maximo Lluis made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureliano Frutos having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Gervasio Ibon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Placido Teofilio did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Gustavo Cerilo 62 minutes into the match. Aureliano Frutos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Urdin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Placido Teofilio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Tadeo Nesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Frutos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Maximo Lluis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Aureliano Frutos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Placido Teofilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Versailles AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
