Cuyoj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guillermo Tebaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Grositos FC's Primitivo Banegas got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 8thth minute of the game Benito Behe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuyoj's Roque Mateus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 9th minute, Bernardino Gonsalve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Fabio Bitxintxo sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Roque Mateus threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Fabio Bitxintxo this time. Benito Behe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roque Mateus having to make a save. In the 13thth minute of the game Benito Behe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuyoj's Roque Mateus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Anastasio Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grositos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Oro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Cuyoj's Cosme Telmo got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Primitivo Herrera sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roque Mateus skillfully saved the ball. Cuyoj's Roque Mateus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Cuyoj from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Benito Behe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grositos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Behe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roque Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Behe, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A collision led to Cuyoj getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Primitivo Bladi hit a great ball. Anastasio Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Behe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Roque Mateus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andres Fanuco hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Nicasio Loreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Olof Blixt. Grositos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guillermo Tebaldo was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Grositos FC's Aureliano Asteri got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafino Rivas got free with Per-Olof Blixt in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 58 played minutes Grositos FC got a freekick which was hit by Raul Berenguer. Bernardino Gonsalve got his second yellow card in the match during the 62nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Benito Behe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Anastasio Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anastasio Oro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Venancio Gitano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Olof Blixt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Aureliano Asteri's late challenge caught a Cuyoj's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Asteri helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Grositos FC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Aureliano Asteri hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Anastasio Oro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roque Mateus. Cuyoj's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anastasio Oro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 79th minute Anastasio Oro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Mateus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Benito Behe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roque Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anastasio Oro in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Benito Behe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grositos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benito Behe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Mateus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Venancio Gitano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Behe took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roque Mateus. Roque Mateus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Grositos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
