La Gacela FC's Ramon Etxahun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Berbiz in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Gacela FC's Paulo Raulo got a free kick in the 29th minute. When Eugenio Berbiz came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Los DaniChichas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugenio Berbiz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in La Gacela FC's zone, Aldo Jerico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Etxahun came out of the goal and Aldo Jerico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aldo Jerico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Berbiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Los DaniChichas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Ignatius to maneuver through the defense. If Angelo Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Jerico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Etxahun having to interfere. Daniel Estebe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eugenio Berbiz struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Ramon Etxahun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal.
