After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Gaston Boni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Borussia's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Boni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonzo Iratzeder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaston Boni's late challenge caught a SANTA MARIA DE ORO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Boni helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SANTA MARIA DE ORO booed when Borussia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Boni didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SANTA MARIA DE ORO's Alonzo Iratzeder got control of the ball when Gaston Boni tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Abadia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 28th minute Eustaquio Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Iratzeder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Boni struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Alonzo Iratzeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia. In the 31st minute, Gaston Boni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Borussia's Alberto Abadia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Errapel in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SANTA MARIA DE ORO's Fernando Errapel got a free kick in the 36th minute. Gaston Boni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Alonzo Iratzeder made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Fernando Errapel made the kick off in the second half. Epifanio Manuelo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Gaston Boni ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute, Clemente Sarracino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Errapel in the 85th minute of play forced Borussia's goalkeeper Alberto Abadia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Errapel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Alonzo Iratzeder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Boni in the 94th minute of the match. Guaberto Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of SANTA MARIA DE ORO echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Borussia had held the ball for most of the match.
