Spectators: 7110 (Terracing: 5442, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orlando Mendez started the match with the kick off. Villa Crespo's Honorato Ermengol got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Villa Crespo getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Eustacio Toro hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Pirané's Ramon Baristo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rigoberto Caetano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ramon Baristo took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rigoberto Caetano. Rigoberto Caetano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 14th minute of the match, Orlando Mendez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jacobo Totakoxe saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Joseph in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rigoberto Caetano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacobo Totakoxe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Mendez's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. When Pirané's Abelardo Joseph in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Villa Crespo's goalie prevented a goal. Abelardo Joseph sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pirané's goalkeeper Jacobo Totakoxe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emiliano Gonsalve during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Villa Crespo booed when Pirané was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Gonsalve didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Honorato Ermengol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Pirané were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abelardo Joseph to strike the kick off in the second half. If Honorato Ermengol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Onofre's late challenge caught a Villa Crespo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Onofre helped the player get up and apologised. Arnulfo Onofre hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Pirané's Jacobo Totakoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Mendez in the 67th minute of play. Jacobo Totakoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Ermengol in the 71st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Villa Crespo's Severiano Abaurre got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Joseph in the 80th minute of play forced Villa Crespo's goalkeeper Rigoberto Caetano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Orlando Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Crespo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Joseph's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rigoberto Caetano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Ramon Baristo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirané's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Baristo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pirané's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
