Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernan Sayvion started the match with the kick off. Alberto Onbera kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Modesto Jobo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Hernan Sayvion recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Teobaldo Gomesano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardozos AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Cardozos AFC booed when Balcozna FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eloy Iturri didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes, Cardozos AFC's Ubaldo Chuse shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Placido Atarratze came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cardozos AFC reached it. After some careless play in the Balcozna FC defense, Ruben Donio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Placido Atarratze. The Balcozna FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Placido Atarratze should have stopped the shot. Eloy Dalmai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Placido Atarratze having to make a save. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Danilo Boni sped through Cardozos AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Modesto Jobo. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cardozos AFC's goalkeeper Modesto Jobo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Hernan Sayvion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Boni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Jobo having to interfere. After the first half Cardozos AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ruben Donio was the one to do the kick off. Cardozos AFC's Eloy Dalmai got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Placido Atarratze was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Donio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 54 minute of play. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balcozna FC's goalkeeper Placido Atarratze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Balcozna FC's Danilo Boni got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Donio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Placido Atarratze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Eloy Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Placido Atarratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Jobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Boni in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Cardozos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Marin to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Cardozos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Sayvion came free, but Modesto Jobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Dalmai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Placido Atarratze made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Donio in the 90th minute of play forced Balcozna FC's goalkeeper Placido Atarratze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Eloy Dalmai reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Placido Atarratze. The goal made the score 1-4. Ruben Donio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Cardozos AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cardozos AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
