Ampolla's Tadeo Cordara got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to CMJ F.C. getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Damaso Rodriguez hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tadeo Cordara sped through CMJ F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felipe Nazario. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ivan Lugo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CMJ F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Lugo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paolo Steven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the match, Ampolla's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Lugo came free, but Paolo Steven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Paolo Steven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Hugo Marko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ivan Lugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ampolla's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Ivan Lugo scored to the left of an out of position Paolo Steven, making the score, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Lugo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Cordara during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes CMJ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Rodriguez. Ivan Lugo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Ivan Lugo might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Steven. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Lugo ran back to his position shaking his head.
