An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeo Laurin in the 47th minute of play forced Pierini's goalkeeper Carlos Lop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
In the 53rd minute, Pierini's Sixto Faro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gustavo Urtzi. Gustavo Urtzi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Romeo Laurin scored 1-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Lop, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Laurin in the 67th minute of play. Carlos Lop was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79thth minute of the game Iker Gonchan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pierini's Carlos Lop was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute Romeo Laurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Lop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iker Gonchan in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Lop saved Pierini from getting behind. After 87 minutes, Romeo Laurin made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pierini's Carlos Lop tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Puyel's Gustavo Urtzi got control of the ball when Sixto Faro tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Puyel had played much better football throughout.
