Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Laprida FC's Christian Berbiz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christian Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Alicante FC booed when Laprida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Enaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardino Udalaitz came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Alicante FC's Everardo Mano. But to his dismay, Everardo Mano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Prudencio Gorri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alicante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Gorri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Udalaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Laprida FC's Bernardino Udalaitz got control of the ball when Everardo Mano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Everardo Mano took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardino Udalaitz. Bernardino Udalaitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Cristobal Crescencio hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Everardo Mano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bernardino Udalaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfonso Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Menendo having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Alicante FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Gorri. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Alicante FC's Delmiro Hechter got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Gilberto Enaut shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Menendo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Everardo Mano put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernardino Udalaitz. After a defensive mix-up in Laprida FC's zone, Everardo Mano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardino Udalaitz came out of the goal and Everardo Mano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Gorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Enzo Inko in the 68th minute really tested Gregorio Menendo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Alfonso Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Mano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Udalaitz having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Cristobal Crescencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laprida FC and the Alicante FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernardino Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Mano in the 75th minute of play. Everardo Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 79 minutes, Alfonso Lia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alicante FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Lia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinicio Vidal might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardino Udalaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Vidal ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Everardo Mano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardino Udalaitz was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After having played for 85 minutes, Vinicio Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alicante FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everardo Mano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Udalaitz having to interfere. Bernardino Udalaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinicio Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Mano in the 95th minute of play forced Laprida FC's goalkeeper Bernardino Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gilberto Enaut fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Laprida FC's protests and gave Gilberto Enaut a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th minute, Gilberto Enaut hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Lia in the 98th minute of play forced Laprida FC's goalkeeper Bernardino Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alicante FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
