With a left leg Aquilino Giraldo saved Gracias Chano from getting behind. 26 minutes into the game, one of Hereford FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hipolito Peruanton went to the wrong direction when Rene Gaufred was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Fernan Innocenzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hipolito Peruanton having to interfere. Hipolito Peruanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Innocenzio in the 32nd minute of play. Julio Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hipolito Peruanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Ascencio in the 36th minute of the match. Gracias Chano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Innocenzio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute Fernan Innocenzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Peruanton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 98 minutes, Fernan Innocenzio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gracias Chano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernan Innocenzio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gracias Chano fully deserved thier win.
