After 10 minutes of play, leprosario's Gregorio Teodor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Etxatxu was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Pablo Argoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Teodor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in leprosario's zone, Marcelino Truylos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedicto Mateus came out of the goal and Marcelino Truylos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, leprosario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saul Eduino to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Big Tigers's Eugenio Marquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benedicto Mateus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pablo Argoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Eugenio Marquez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Benedicto Mateus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonel Lesardo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a little luck, Big Tigers's Federico Etxatxu got control of the ball when Pablo Argoitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benedicto Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Truylos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eugenio Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, leprosario's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Marquez came free, but Benedicto Mateus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marcelino Truylos came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Big Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Truylos couldn't finish the play. Benedicto Mateus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Marquez in the 85th minute of play. Marcelino Truylos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92ndth minute of the game Marcelino Truylos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but leprosario's Benedicto Mateus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugenio Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, leprosario's Bernardo Ekialde seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bernardo Ekialde the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of leprosario protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bernardo Ekialde had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in leprosario fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Big Tigers a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Felix Cordario, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of leprosario's Benedicto Mateus. 2-1. leprosario's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
