Elvio Lertxun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Txurio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, Gándara's goalkeeper Melquiades Txurio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Lertxun. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind WILD TURKEY's goalkeeper Vladimiro Ignado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Arnulfo Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Horado made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnulfo Elivareo in the 54th minute of play forced WILD TURKEY's goalkeeper Vladimiro Ignado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Aquiles Gil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to WILD TURKEY getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Teodoro Goyo hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, WILD TURKEY's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Elivareo came free, but Vladimiro Ignado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arnulfo Elivareo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gándara fans jumped to their feet. Aquiles Gil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Vladimiro Ignado made a huge save. Melquiades Txurio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Horado in the 70th minute of the match. Gustavo Horado might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Txurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Horado ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnulfo Elivareo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Ignado saved WILD TURKEY from getting behind.
