The supporters of Viejas & Virgenes FC booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Domiku didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emiliano Lordi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nistor Udrescu. Boca Juniors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nistor Udrescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Pello, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Pello in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nistor Udrescu saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. The Viejas & Virgenes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Ovando should have stopped the shot. Atilano Cristos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Ovando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when German Cordairo got free with Gustavo Ovando in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Atilano Cristos made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Viejas & Virgenes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnulfo Breogan came free, but Gustavo Ovando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Ovando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Cordairo in the 56th minute of the match. Boca Juniors's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Atilano Cristos in the 58th minute. Atilano Cristos made a great header on Boca Juniors's corner, it was just that Viejas & Virgenes FC's Gustavo Ovando managed to reach the ball for a save. Atilano Cristos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gustavo Ovando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anibal Txomin kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Arnulfo Breogan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Ovando having to interfere. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Jacinto Betadur a yellow card for diving instead. Nistor Udrescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ralondo in the 93rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Pedro Ralondo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viejas & Virgenes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Ralondo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nistor Udrescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Pedro Ralondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nistor Udrescu. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nistor Udrescu should have stopped the shot. Boca Juniors's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
