Julian Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viejas & Virgenes FC. If Pedro Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Abogarcas FC's Emiliano Lander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustavo Ovando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, Abogarcas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braulio Oier to maneuver through the defense. When Pedro Ralondo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Viejas & Virgenes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Ralondo couldn't finish the play. When Abogarcas FC's Braulio Oier in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Ralondo got free with Julian Santo in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Quico in the 34th minute of play forced Viejas & Virgenes FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Ovando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Abogarcas FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Braulio Oier hit a great ball. Abogarcas FC's Emiliano Lander got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emiliano Lander struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enrique Quico stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Pedro Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abelardo Pello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Santo having to make a save. Julian Santo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Ralondo in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Abogarcas FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. German Egoitz hit a great ball. Abogarcas FC's Julian Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Ralondo in the 58th minute of play. Gustavo Ovando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Quico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Lander got free with Gustavo Ovando in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Viejas & Virgenes FC's Gustavo Ovando got control of the ball when Emiliano Lander tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Abogarcas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Pello came free, but Julian Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Pedro Ralondo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julian Santo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 95 played minutes, Viejas & Virgenes FC's Benedicto Vellito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julian Santo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Viejas & Virgenes FC reached it. Baldomero Restu charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomero Restu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baldomero Restu kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Abogarcas FC's Julian Santo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abelardo Pello in the 97th minute of play. The Abogarcas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Abogarcas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
