Gustavo Ovando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Lorenz in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nunez Turi in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Ovando saved Viejas & Virgenes FC from getting behind. Benedicto Vellito's late challenge caught a Saturno AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedicto Vellito helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Saturno AFC's zone, Pedro Ralondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Mundo came out of the goal and Pedro Ralondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Ralondo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Maximiliano Mundo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nunez Turi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pedro Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pascual Federigo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
