After the first half Las Pelotas F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeo Medero to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Muc got free with Gaspar Playo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sportivo Avellaneda's goalkeeper Gaspar Playo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard shot 94 in the game by Orlando Muc from a close distance when the talented Gaspar Playo managed to make a qualified save. Sportivo Avellaneda's players were relieved.
