Delmiro Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Florentino Filipo had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Rodolfo Astrada's late challenge caught a Diadema's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Astrada helped the player get up and apologised. Rodolfo Astrada hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Jimeno Abel made a precise shot to the right of Delmiro Iraido. Ensuciantes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Diadema's Baldomero Salomone got a free kick in the 18th minute. Fernando Lando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delmiro Iraido having to interfere. Diadema's Jimeno Abel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benito Jerico, made in the 26th minute of the game. Diadema's Jimeno Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tadeo Urtsua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jimeno Abel came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Diadema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimeno Abel couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Ensuciantes defense, Tadeo Urtsua kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delmiro Iraido. The Ensuciantes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Iraido should have stopped the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Tadeo Urtsua notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Ensuciantes's Delmiro Iraido. Delmiro Iraido was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Delmiro Iraido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Urtsua in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Lando in the 47th minute of play forced Ensuciantes's goalkeeper Delmiro Iraido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jairo Jon was the one to do the kick off. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ensuciantes's goalkeeper Delmiro Iraido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diadema's Omar Ur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Jon in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ensuciantes's zone, Tadeo Urtsua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delmiro Iraido came out of the goal and Tadeo Urtsua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Diadema's Jimeno Abel in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ensuciantes's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Jimeno Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diadema's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimeno Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diadema's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
