Spectators: 6659 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marcelino Atarratze kicked off to start the match. Leo Gimenez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Urbasa in the 5th minute of play. After 7 played minutes Elite FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Teodor. After a defensive mix-up in Corolina's zone, Anacleto Berdaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Gimenez came out of the goal and Anacleto Berdaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Gimenez came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Elite FC's Elias Loreto. But to his dismay, Elias Loreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 18 minutes Corolina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zeledon Teodor who took care of the corner kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ladislao Joanes during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 19 played minutes Elite FC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Joanes. Santo Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Basilio Su tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jonatan Felipillo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corolina's protests and gave Jonatan Felipillo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Corolina getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jonatan Felipillo hit a great ball. Paolo Urbasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Santo Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Luis Lehen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anacleto Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Corolina got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Atarratze. Leo Gimenez made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Elias Loreto sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Paolo Urbasa made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Elite FC's goalkeeper Basilio Su had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Duarte. 58 minutes into the match, Elias Loreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leo Gimenez. Corolina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elias Loreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Corolina's Leo Gimenez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Urbasa in the 63rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Paolo Urbasa put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Leo Gimenez. Paolo Urbasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fabricio Sotero fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corolina's protests and gave Fabricio Sotero a yellow card for diving instead. Fabricio Sotero hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Leo Gimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Urbasa in the 73rd minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Elite FC got a freekick which was hit by Luis Lehen. Marcelino Atarratze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Su having to interfere. Basilio Su made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Duarte in the 84th minute. Marcelino Atarratze might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Su. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelino Atarratze ran back to his position shaking his head. Anacleto Berdaitz was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Anacleto Berdaitz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Marcelino Atarratze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Basilio Su tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Basilio Su made a huge save. If Marcelino Atarratze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corolina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Elite FC.
