When Rogelio Cristofor came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the joseph pla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Cristofor couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Jacindo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Froilan Gil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafin Loreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aureliano Artal having to make a save. If Serafin Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Artal made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Serafin Loreto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Jacindo in the 32nd minute of play forced Domínguez's goalkeeper Froilan Gil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serafin Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafin Loreto struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Aureliano Artal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Domínguez. After 47 minutes of play, Domínguez's Venancio Salamon made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aureliano Artal was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Jacindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
