Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Americo Orlanda got the match started through his kick off. Julio Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Berriotxoa having to interfere. Fernan Berriotxoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Americo Orlanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Narciso Millrick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Fonda in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Berriotxoa saved Guatraché from getting behind. When Julio Fonda came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Paikín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Fonda couldn't finish the play. After 18 minutes of play, Paikín's Americo Orlanda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Berriotxoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fernan Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Fonda, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Guatraché's zone, Americo Orlanda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernan Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Americo Orlanda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Orlanda in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Berriotxoa saved Guatraché from getting behind. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paikín's goalkeeper Christian Chesus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 49 minutes, Americo Orlanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paikín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Americo Orlanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Mincho was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 59 in the game by Julio Fonda from a close distance when the talented Fernan Berriotxoa managed to make a qualified save. Guatraché's players were relieved. Julio Fonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Fonda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th match minute, Paikín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Bizen to maneuver through the defense. Freddy Argi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Julio Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Berriotxoa having to interfere. Freddy Argi's late challenge caught a Guatraché's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Freddy Argi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Freddy Argi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Paez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Chesus. Paikín's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Americo Orlanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
