With a little luck, Reading a Book's Christian Gasteiz got control of the ball when Hector Rioja tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24thth minute of the game Santiago Lorencio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guachos de Jantin CF's Severo Dimas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hector Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ismael Carlomagno charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Carlomagno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guachos de Jantin CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reading a Book the free kick. When Serafin Fortun came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Reading a Book fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Fortun couldn't finish the play. Santiago Lorencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severo Dimas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Lorencio ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Guachos de Jantin CF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Braulio Kusko hit a great ball. Santiago Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Dimas having to interfere. Marcelo Pitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Dimas having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Pere to make the kick off. With his leg Severo Dimas managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Reading a Book's Marcelo Pitin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Guachos de Jantin CF's zone, Aquilino Mannie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severo Dimas came out of the goal and Aquilino Mannie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Guachos de Jantin CF defense, Teodoro Txatxu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Dimas. The Guachos de Jantin CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Dimas should have stopped the shot. Severo Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Pitin in the 70th minute of the match. Marcelo Pitin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severo Dimas having to interfere. Christian Gasteiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Pere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Hector Rioja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Santiago Lorencio came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Reading a Book fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Lorencio couldn't finish the play. Santiago Lorencio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severo Dimas having to make a save. Santiago Lorencio struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Severo Dimas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reading a Book. When the final whistle sounded Reading a Book left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Guachos de Jantin CF.
