Valentin Luar was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Oalo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Tallia saved Roversi FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Abaurre in the 19th minute of play forced Catenaccio FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Abancens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Esiquio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Tallia having to interfere. With a little luck, Roversi FC's Julio Tallia got control of the ball when Arnulfo Misael tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Anselmo Oalo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Julio Tallia, passed just outside the right post. If Clemente Esiquio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnulfo Misael's late challenge caught a Roversi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnulfo Misael helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Roversi FC booed when Catenaccio FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Misael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roversi FC's Julio Tallia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo Oalo in the 42nd minute of play. Adolfo Lluterio hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Oalo in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Tallia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Roversi FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Adolfo Lluterio hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes, Catenaccio FC's Eustacio Gaspard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Tallia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catenaccio FC reached it. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Uriel Abaurre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Catenaccio FC's Arnulfo Misael sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Tallia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arnulfo Misael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Julio Tallia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Esiquio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Tallia having to make a save. If Arnulfo Misael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Adolfo Lluterio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Roversi FC defense, Igor Firman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Tallia. The Roversi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Tallia should have stopped the shot. Catenaccio FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
