Martin Larra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Bastian having to interfere. LA GATA MIMOSA's Genaro Claris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Manuelo in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Justo Sotero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingo Uhin hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Onzos's Wilfredo Bastian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Sotero in the 22nd minute of play. Jairo Goito charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jairo Goito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Faustino Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Onzos's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genaro Claris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, LA GATA MIMOSA's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Manuelo came free, but Genaro Claris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Emilio Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA GATA MIMOSA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Onzos the free kick. A collision led to LA GATA MIMOSA getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Emilio Barros hit a great ball. If Martin Larra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfredo Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justo Sotero in the 39th minute of play. Segundo Natanael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Genaro Claris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the LA GATA MIMOSA defense, Segundo Tercero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genaro Claris. The LA GATA MIMOSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genaro Claris should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Faustino Manuelo to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, LA GATA MIMOSA's goalkeeper Genaro Claris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Segundo Tercero. After a rather tough play, Onzos's Fabio Bilintx got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justo Sotero in the 58th minute of play forced Onzos's goalkeeper Wilfredo Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Genaro Claris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Segundo Tercero in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute Faustino Manuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Claris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faustino Manuelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Claris having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Justo Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA GATA MIMOSA's supporters rose to their feet, but Justo Sotero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Bastian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Segundo Tercero struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Genaro Claris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Onzos. Segundo Tercero who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Genaro Claris when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Segundo Tercero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Genaro Claris made a huge save. When the match was over Onzos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LA GATA MIMOSA throughout the match.
