In the 9th minute, Teodoro Burutzagi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Burutzagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teodoro Burutzagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Romero having to interfere. Alfredo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Burutzagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Boca Jrs getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jimeno Eliu hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Elpidio Urbes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Romero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alfredo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Jimeno Eliu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elpidio Urbes in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Romero saved Boca Jrs from getting behind. In the 29th minute, Ceferino Haritz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Urbes in the 33rd minute of play. Alfredo Romero came out of the goal and Teodoro Burutzagi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Epifanio Basajaun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Alfredo Romero made a huge save. The supporters of Independencia booed when Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Independencia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Boca Jrs throughout the match.
