The audience thought a goal was coming when Ceferino Maureo got free with Ciro Garoa in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Silvestre Francis came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the NiEquipo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvestre Francis couldn't finish the play. Elisa F.C's Cirilo Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Checa in the 11th minute of play. Cirilo Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Francis in the 13th minute of play. Ceferino Maureo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ciro Garoa having to make a save. Jesus Oriol kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes, Elisa F.C's Benito Irrintzi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciro Garoa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elisa F.C reached it. Elisa F.C's Raimundo Lauren got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ceferino Maureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Raimundo Lauren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Garoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Maureo in the 38th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Gaspar Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. NiEquipo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Nofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cirilo Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Checa, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Maximiliano Toli's late challenge caught a Elisa F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximiliano Toli helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in NiEquipo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Raimundo Lauren struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Ciro Garoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elisa F.C. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Gudesteo during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Elisa F.C's Primitivo Gudesteo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Elisa F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Lauren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Ceferino Maureo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Raimundo Lauren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Garoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NiEquipo FC's Ciro Garoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Lauren in the 71st minute of play. NiEquipo FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Silvestre Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. NiEquipo FC's Tobias Txanton shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cirilo Nofre but with some difficulty. In the 91st minute Raimundo Lauren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Garoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot by Astor Urtsua from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Cirilo Nofre's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The NiEquipo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NiEquipo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
