After having played for 46 minutes, Gogo Lohitzun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Zaparrastrozos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gogo Lohitzun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Federico Frasquito came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Peto Chico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Frasquito couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basilio Lopez made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gogo Lohitzun got free with Celestino Beltran in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Lopez in the 58th minute of play forced Los Zaparrastrozos's goalkeeper Fidel Kepa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Basilio Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peto Chico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basilio Lopez in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fidel Kepa saved Los Zaparrastrozos from getting behind. After 69 minutes, Simon Eladio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Zaparrastrozos and the Peto Chico players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Basilio Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Celestino Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Eriz in the 97th minute of the match. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
