Abelardo Lopes's late challenge caught a Garibaldi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Arnalt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Menendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnoldo Montel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Gaudencio Arnalt made a huge save. Eugenio Erlantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allen's Gaudencio Arnalt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Allen from getting a goal against them. After 19 minutes, Pablo Hotz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garibaldi FC and the Allen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garibaldi FC's Pablo Hotz got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Eugenio Erlantz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Allen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Erlantz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Gaudencio Arnalt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Allen's Teodosio Cordara got a free kick in the 27th minute. Arnoldo Montels short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Gaudencio Arnalt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Allen's zone, Arnoldo Montel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Arnalt came out of the goal and Arnoldo Montel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Allen's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Menendo came free, but Gaudencio Arnalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Montel struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Gaudencio Arnalt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garibaldi FC. In the 41st minute of the match Norberto Olo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaudencio Arnalt skillfully saved the ball. Marcos Menendo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Arnalt having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Menendo to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Allen's zone, Marcos Menendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Arnalt came out of the goal and Marcos Menendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Simon Erruki might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Urki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Erruki ran back to his position shaking his head. After 62 minutes, Genaro Illart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Allen and the Garibaldi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Genaro Illart hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Arnoldo Montel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Montel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaudencio Arnalt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Arnoldo Montel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Gaudencio Arnalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Marcos Menendo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaudencio Arnalt. Allen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Menendo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 88th minute, Norberto Olo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allen's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
