Fabio Furman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Vargas in the 15th minute of the match. Schiffner's Fabio Furman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Vargas in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th match minute, Schiffner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Maureo to maneuver through the defense. If Roberto Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ariel Tartalo was out of position in the 23 minute of play, and Lorenzo Maureo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lorenzo Maureo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Arsenio Egoitz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsenio Egoitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Galaxy got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Egoitz. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schiffner's goalkeeper Fabio Furman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Galaxy's Uriel Oxel in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schiffner's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th minute Timoteo Herena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Tartalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabio Furman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Oxel in the 62nd minute. If Gonzalo Mon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Fabio Furman acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Enrique Alonso. After some careless play in the Schiffner defense, Roberto Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabio Furman. The Schiffner fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabio Furman should have stopped the shot. Uriel Oxel struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fabio Furman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galaxy. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Galaxy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
