In the 7th minute Narciso Cordoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Cordoba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Candido Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlan Serbia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesus Urtsua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Rik in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Jatsu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Narciso Cordoba came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Anyway FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Cordoba couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Miro during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicasio Miro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Abelardo Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlan Serbia having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Abelardo Rik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Chicago's zone, Narciso Cordoba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Candido Jatsu came out of the goal and Narciso Cordoba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Cordoba in the 45th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Candido Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Anyway FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jesus Urtsua to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Rik got free with Candido Jatsu in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Candido Jatsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Cordoba in the 85th minute of the match.
