Zeledon Vimaro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteve Jurdan went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Esteve Jurdan came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Club Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Jurdan couldn't finish the play. Zeledon Vimaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Licerio in the 13th minute of the match. Zeledon Vimaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Licerio in the 19th minute of play. When Club Mercedes's Esteve Jurdan in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zeledon Vimaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Jurdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Delmiro Mingo in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Vimaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Christian Gabon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esteve Jurdan scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Vimaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Club Mercedes were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvestre Marin to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Club Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Marin came free, but Wilfredo Claude reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Club Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Delmiro Mingo. Wilfredo Claude made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Marin in the 59th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Villars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Jokin to maneuver through the defense. Esteve Jurdan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Zeledon Vimaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Delmiro Mingo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Mercedes and the Villars FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Delmiro Mingo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Villars FC's Zeledon Vimaro got control of the ball when Esteve Jurdan tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Christian Gabon came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Club Mercedes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Gabon couldn't finish the play. Salvador Roldan charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Roldan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Villars FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Salvador Roldan hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Silvestre Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Claude saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Esteve Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Delmiro Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Mercedes's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeledon Vimaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Mercedes played a much better game than Villars FC and deserved their victory. The Villars FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
