Loro barranquero FC's Ricardo Ireno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Lico in the 22nd minute of play. Ricardo Ireno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lázaro Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Ricardo Ireno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Quinto in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vinicio Cuartio made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Brujas FC's Lázaro Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Ireno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 56th minute Bernardo Quinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Ireno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes Loro barranquero FC got a freekick which was hit by Roque Rafel. After some careless play in the Loro barranquero FC defense, Bernardo Quinto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardo Ireno. The Loro barranquero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardo Ireno should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Lázaro Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Cuartio in the 69th minute of play forced Brujas FC's goalkeeper Flavio Bide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Lázaro Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brujas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Ireno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Brujas FC's Lázaro Barbosa in 74 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ricardo Ireno guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Bernardo Quinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Ireno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Quinto ran back to his position shaking his head. Lázaro Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
